Day 20: Kensington and Chelsea and Kilburn

KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA

Kensington Central Library
2.30 pm
5.1 km from Covent Garden

Kensington is a huge library with its own purpuse built auditorium, green room and a nice space for a budding author to sign books.

KILBURN LIBRARY

Kilburn Library
8.15 pm
6.23 km from Covent Garden

Kilburn Library is small but perfectly formed...

With it's own back garden sort of like a beer garden only with, you know, books...

There I was joined by Andy Ryan - Cityread's fearless leader who was just back from a holiday in Manchester.

And is this not the most cheerful audience yet?

NEXT: the grim inner city wasteland that is Chiswick!

Wonderful picture of Andy Ryan who liked the following post to the London Dreamland "Jam lucis orto sidere" facebook page on April 11th :

I've finally found the picture of Cityread London: Join the World's Biggest Book Group's storyteller Vanessa Woolf, and my back, that was posted by Bexley Libraries via Twitter on 8th April 2015 https://twitter.com/BexleyLibraries/status/585757185424154624

It has also been posted somewhere on facebook, but at present the exact location remains a top secret.

Vanessa told us a great story about a young girl who removed a demonic curse that had put on the whole of London, and I gave Vanessa a hard copy of my Spread the Word published poem FROM DARK TO LIGHT TOO that is designed to remove the curse of neo-Fascism, that the Great Beast aka Old Nick 666 himself, put on London, and me in the 1990/91 football season when the odious leadership of the NF/BNP were allowed to use the Old Addeyans FC/Densitron International PLC clubhouse development for their malevolent 'planning for real' meetings.

Here is the Spread the Word - Literature Development for London http://www.spreadtheword.org.uk/ poem that was published in their WRITE NEXT DOOR ANTHOLOGY :

FROM DARK TO LIGHT TOO

From 666 to 999.
From Alpha to Omega the end of time.
From what was yours to what is mine.
An Evening Star did shine.

When clouded orbits declined within.
Dragged down to Earth by original sin.
When God's witness was D.S Quinn.
An Evening Star did shine.

If truths suppressed could take to wing.
To Maria Assumpta like birds they'd sing.
No longer numbed by vespine sting.
An Evening Star still shines.

Apologies to Vanessa Woolf, and Andy Ryan, the first sentence of my last comment should read ...
