Next stop, the Folly! Although, if Molly answers the door I might have to pretend I was looking for the business school before double-timing my way out of there.
when you look up the Folly on your map, switch to satellite and zoom in on Russell Square, you get a plane that was passing over it at the time the satellite photo was taken xD
Hello! I started reading the series really late which was like last month. And I am living in Japan and have visited London only once over 10 years ago! The series definitely makes me crave a trip to London!
I want to visit London again and walking around with this map!
Love this! Only recently discovered the Rivers of London books and am just about to finish Moon over Soho. I work in Holborn and often go for a quick walk so I get a bit excited when I read a bit in the book that takes place somewhere I walked by in my lunch-break (I don't care if that's sad). Was thinking of spending an afternoon walking around the landmarks and places visited in each book and stopping for lunch somewhere mentioned. My boyfriend is a big fan of the books too, but being from the Midlands he barely recognises any of the locations mentioned and was surprised when I told him these places are not made up! I go and each lunch in the Yo sushi in the Brunswick center all the time! This map will be awesome in helping me plot out a route. CHEERS :D
My whole family love these books! I'm toying with the idea of doing a Rivers of London themed fish tank as my son likes the London aquarium decorations you an get. I initially thought they'd be tacky but then though maybe can link them to the books by picking fish that relate to parts of the story. Is that a bit weird?? Suggestions welcome!
WONDERFUL! Will have to go awalking with my husband and son, both of whom are also huge fans.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is very nifty! I'll be off scouting around later this week
ReplyDeletewhy isn't Abbey River in Chertsey on the map? Where Beverly and Oxley swim.
ReplyDeleteIs now.

ReplyDeleteAh, the Iain West (Memorial) Forensic Suite is actually a read place. I assumed it was a joke for some reason.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the things that makes writing these books so much fun, the wild imaginary places just blend right in.
ReplyDeleteOh great. Another excuse to drag my whinging family behind me on a London day out. Esoteric landmarks and random book references.
