Law and Order: UK

I went to see a screening of Law and Order: UK at the NFT last night. The episode was followed by a really interesting Q&A panel with Dick Wolf and Chris Chibnall. It was so wonderful to watch the L&O formula applied to a British crime procedural. No killer cam, no landscape acting, no pissed off Mrs and a blistering pace that wasn't going to slow down for anything so mundane as a back story. ITV is going to be really glad it commissioned this.

  2. I think the clue is in the name of the blog. I'm just not very fast writer and paid work has to come first.

  3. saw it too. excellent acting with barely a moment to draw breath. Both the police and prosecutor bits looked so good - high production stuff. Likely to start at the end of the month.

  4. Ben any idea why a 1st of a 20 episode series is being billed as 1/7?

  5. I know they've been commissioned for 13 Episodes (a long season in UK terms) why it's listed as 1/7 is a mystery to me unless ITV are planning to broadcast them as two seasons of 7 and 6.
